Who We Are
Updated: Mar 29
We are Eric, Willow, Phoenix and Sophia Terrell; Sunka Gi, our vegetable guardian dog, and Morpheus, our blue tabby.
Our farm name, "One Whole Farm" was born when we were reading "The Third Plate" by Dan Barber, and the line about the community of growers being "one big farm" resonated strongly! We are working to produce those things wholistically that we feel passionate about, and it is our mission to help others awaken their creativity and become part of a local cottage market economy. We can all use our skills and passions to support ourselves and each other without needing to feed into the crumbling structure that is capitalism. Reach out if you'd like to be a part of One Whole Farm, either at our place or your own.
One Whole Farmacy, previously Willow Tree Apothecaire, first began in 2014 when Willow started working with the herb mullein, which randomly grew in her vegetable garden right when she was beginning to experience the symptoms of her lung cancer. This launched a journey of meeting more and more plant relatives and learning to work with them as they teach her, as she healed her cancer and continues to be cancer free. The journey never ends; there is so much good medicine to share from the earth.
Everything we do revolves around our honey bees and the native bees for whom we hold space and habitat. We live in service to the Bien: all collective bees around the world. We do not spray petrochemicals; we leave the honey bees their own honey for the winter; we grow as many flowering native annuals & perennials as we know exist (and are always planting more); we use flowering cover crops designed to help build the soil & also provide an abundance of food for all the pollinators around. We offer natural beekeeping one-on-one classes and free flower seeds to anyone local to us.
We believe in taking care of each other: the land, air, & water, the insects, the fish, the 4 leggeds, and 2 leggeds alike. We believe all beings are inherently worthy of freedom, health, safety, food, and love. We believe that when the time comes, we will weather the storms together, and be stronger for it. We are looking to grow our community- reach out if our way of life sounds right for you. Mitakuye Oyasin. We are all related.
